Quarter 2: Week 1
To-Dos: 11; Done: 4; Partially Completed: 2; Untouched: 5
Some weeks the goals you set for the quarter end up taking a back seat to life. That’s what ended up happening this week for me, but while my quarter 2 goals may be a skimpy, it was a full wonderful week.
The week started off with us completely moving our “old” full size bed into our boys room and building a base for the new queen size bed we were kindly given.
Then I made a cake for a birthday celebration at work and ended up being surprised myself when in the middle of it I found out I earned the title I had been working towards for years! (Yes there were a ton of happy tears.)
Thursday night my husband, boys, and I got to reconnect with a friend that we hadn’t gotten to see since before our 3 year old was born because our schedules are so often crazy. It was amazing to see her and catch up.
Friday night my husband and I got to go on a date because our wonderful church has a parent date night, kid fun night where they watch our little gremlins and we get to go out. God bless them – it’s an amazing service they provide families!! It was extra special because we got to celebrate my promotion and my husband working at his job for 5 years.
Saturday night we celebrated our friends birthday and Aunt Tonni watched the kids for us. I have no idea how we got to escape 2 nights out sans the kids, but it was a special week!
This full wonderful week saw so many incredible things happen and was a blessing. I’m happy I did get some goals worked on in the midst of our festivities. I’m making sure that I’m focusing on the blessings rather than getting stuck on the goals I didn’t achieve.
Wrapping up – find laughter in your goals. It makes them more fun and easier to accomplish such as when your yoga practice gets interrupted by baby kisses.
